Do I need an eye exam appointment before visiting Andrea Baker Optical?
Yes. Andrea Baker Optical is an optical shop, not an eye exam clinic, so we don't perform vision tests. Bring us a current, valid prescription from your eye doctor, and our licensed optician will handle everything from lens selection to the final fitting.
How long does it take to fill a prescription for eyeglasses?
Because much of our lens crafting and fitting happens in-house in Burnet, turnaround is often faster than mail-order retailers. Exact timing depends on your lens type and frame choice—call us at 512-588-6042 for a current estimate.
Can you replace lenses in frames I already own?
Yes. If your current frames are in good condition, we can often fit new prescription lenses into them, which saves money compared to buying an entirely new pair. Bring the frames and your prescription to our Burnet shop for an assessment.
Do you carry progressive lenses?
